Q: Will this book be different than the last one?
A: While some pages will remain the same, There will be quite a bit of new and updated content. I’m gathering new stories and photos and making some design modifications. A number of new routes will also be added. The Cimarrons will be removed to make room for this new content, as that area was also covered in Suffer Candy Volume 2.
Other new content will include more GPS coordinates, more information on avalanche danger, more information on how frequently a climb forms, and more information on land ownership.
Suffer Candy: Volume 1 is a 424-page comprehensive ice climbing guidebook with gorgeous full-spread images, detailed route descriptions, gear suggestions, personal anecdotes, and a little humor to make it entertaining. With beautiful aerial imagery, intimate action shots, and local storytelling it’s worthy of every pack and coffee table regardless of one’s background or knowledge of the sport.
As the ONLY book in print covering the Ouray Ice Park and surrounding area, it is sure to be a top seller. Suffer Candy Volume 1 covers Ouray, Ridgway, Silverton, Telluride, and Dunton.
